Greetings, my name is Fleur Elizabeth, at least that's what it should be, or will be soon.

I am MtF and have worked over the last year and a half to correct my body's mistakes.  It has been difficult getting my parents, especially my mother, to accept the truth of how I've always thought, but hopefully after July, it will become easier.

The purpse behind me finally announcing that I'm transgender was because I was on the brink of committing suicide on more than one occassion.  Many times I have found myself wishing I could either travel back in time and rectify everything when I was younger, or see to it that I wasn't born, so I'd not have to live through the agony I've felt these past 24-years.  Either way, I'd be able be free to be myself long before now.

It is my desire to finally have my body's mistakes fully fixed and have the proper items by the close of 2011, however it isn't likely with the expenses required.  I don't believe it's right that we have to live in pain, or suffer as we do, and never be able to fix Nature's mistakes without the approval of a psychologist/licensed clinic social worker saying we're sane enough to qualify for the for the surgery.  What is everyone else's thoughts?

Hello, I am Nikita Rosemary, or at least that is what I would like to be.
I believe, like you that the goverment has no business in regulating what has to be done to rectifying a mistake like that.
That being said, the problem is religion. they got their hands into elected officials and want to keep people born one way to stay that way.

My name is Dani. I've been where you are. My primary care physician advised me that the risks of hormone replacement therapy outweighed the benefits. Blood clots being chief among them. I didn't like the idea of all the prerequisite psychoanalysis they put you through before even considering giving you your first needle. I began living as a woman and my mind was finally at peace. I decided that I could achieve what I wanted and needed without the expense and hardship involved in going further. Keeping my sanity was my most pressing need. After living in fear for 43 years I couldn't stand it any more. Kill myself? I was certainly headed that way. If you can't get to you "destination" via the direct route, find an alternate.
